The Unpardonable Sin 1212

Unpardonable sin

Luke 12
“In the meantime, when an innumerable multitude of people had gathered together, so that they trampled one another, He began to say to His disciples first of all, “Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.”

[Pharisees were those man-appointed jewish leaders and teacher of the law (that given by God and that added to by man).

Leaven is a metaphor that means sin, Sin that grows. Leaven of the Pharisees is their sinfully adding to God’s word which is hypocrisy. What they preach is different from what they practice.

In this analogy, in our current age, pharisee = church leadership that adds to God’s word. Jesus called them white washed tombs. This condemnation applies to the popes and bishops (and any other church leader who adds to (changes) God’s word)]

” For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, nor hidden that will not be known. Therefore whatever you have spoken in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have spoken in the ear in inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops. ”

[this speaks to the wicked deeds done to Jesus and early church through ad70 AND what the Catholic leadership did to the church (believers) in the dark ages and reformation].

“And I say to you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear Him who, after He has killed, has power to cast into hell; yes, I say to you, fear Him!

[Here Jesus warns his people to look eternally and accept death over sacrilege. The ot law pointed to the Jesus and cross. When the pharisees rejected Jesus as the messiah, they were leading the jewish people away from salvation in christ and to an eternity in hell. In a very similar manner, the Catholic religion leads people to reject the completed work of Jesus and accept works of man that won’t save anyone but result in an eternity in hell. ]

“Are not five sparrows sold for two copper coins? And not one of them is forgotten before God. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows. “Also I say to you, whoever confesses Me before men, him the Son of Man also will confess before the angels of God. But he who denies Me before men will be denied before the angels of God.

[Jesus alone is my Lord And Savior. The true church include everyone who share this relationship with Jesus Christ. Our calling is to glorify the triune God by giving Him 100% of the Credit and share this truth with everyone. The Catholic “church” seeks to promote a different gospel (which is no real gospel) in which man earns their reward and glory (credit) is deflected away from Christ to the “church”, pope, bishops, Mary, buildings, icons (idols), statues (more idols), catholic “saints “, priests, and themselves. They share this lie with the poor, dumb, foolish, and uneducated and cater to their superstitions, festivals, and vices. At the same time they claim to represent Jesus and the Bible, discrediting the truth by promoting a practice that is indefensible to reasonable minds. ]

“And anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but to him who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven. ”

[earlier, i presumed there to be but 2 categories of people ( saved and unsaved). In prayerful reconsideration, i believe there is a third – unsaved leadership that claims to be saved, studies God’s word along with the rules and traditions of man for the purpose of promoting a different doctrine or dogma that denies the finished work of Jesus accomplished with the Holy Spirit. These people, it appears, God will choose not to save. Saul/Paul comes very close to this, but was deceived and not intent on promoting something he knew to be false. On the road to Damascus, he met the real Christ and demonstrated that he truly sought to honor God. ]

“Now when they bring you to the synagogues and magistrates and authorities, do not worry about how or what you should answer, or what you should say. For the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say.” (Luke 12:1-12 NKJV)

[Jesus, Peter, Paul, Stephen, and even Martin Luther and John Calvin were brought before magistrates and stood their ground for God, trusting in God’s uncorrupted word and the Holy Spirit , and spoke as the Holy Spirit led. In God’s true Kingdom, only God has authority and He can ( and does) speak through anyone He chooses. In fact, this letter is just the latest example of God speaking through a donkey, comparatively and metaphorically speaking!]

So what is the unpardonable sin?

” but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation” — (Mark 3:29 NKJV)

Jesus was commenting specifically on the things the Pharisees said. Claiming the work of the Holy Spirit was the work of evil. Salvation is from God, by God, and for God. To presume or direct that there is anything we can do to help in this is blasphemy. Works righteousness is religion. True Christianity is a gift from God to those God chooses to save, those whose sins Jesus died to take away, those who have received the Indwelling Holy Spirit for spiritual guidance and sanctification.

This condemnation is not just for the Pharisees, but to any leader who claims to stand in God’s authority but knowingly leads others away from God, His word, His Gospel, and His salvation. Those who are under this condemnation “never has forgiveness”. Catholics try to use this to say that you can lose your salvation. Clearly, “never has” includes our past, present, and future. Our past was our present, and our future will be ! Never is absolute. This is something the truly saved can never do, based solely on the power of God, His election and eternal protection.

May God be praised!
